The PADI Open Water Diver training is the first scuba diving certificate

It is the must-have to live new underwater adventures and discover the natural diversity of our wonderful planet.

The Open Water Diver course is the most popular in the world and is recognised in all the PADI centres.

Prerequisites:

  • To be at least 15 years old (Between 10 and 15 years > Junior Open Water Diver)
  • Good health (medical certificate required)

The course covers:

  • The presentation of the scuba diving equipment
  • The theory allowing to plan and dive
  • Basic knowledge to prevent and handle issues

The course includes :

  • The theoretical training to assimilate the basic knowledge of scuba diving
  • Diving in protected field (swimming pool) to train in complete confidence and practice the notions covered in the courses
  • Diving in natural field (lake) to master the technic while exploring the local natural diversity

The equipment that will be used:

  • All the basic and necessary equipment for scuba diving will be presented and explained
  • In this course, you will use a bottle, regulator, BCD, diving equipment and all the standards diving accessories as the neoprene suit, mask, snorkel and the fins.
  • The equipment that you will wear will change depending on the water temperature and the field (swimming or lake) that you will dive in

The price includes:

  • Inscription fees
  • School fees
  • The scuba diving equipment loaned by the school
  • 9 dives (5 in swimming and 4 in lake)
  • The certificate

The price does not include:

  • The mandatory medical examination
  • The fins, mask and the snorkel required from the first course
  • The gloves and the diving boots

What you will be able to do once certified:

  • To dive completely autonomously with someone having at least the Open Water Diver certificate but without a professional up to a depth of 18 meters
