If you want to take a step forward in your career or you want to start teaching scuba diving, as PADI Assistant Instructor you will gain the required experience for following the training for becoming an Instructor.

If you have enough experience, it is possible to regroup the PADI Assistant Instructor and PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor trainings in a single stage named: Instructor development Course (ICD).

Prerequisites:

  • To be at least 18 years old
  • To be in a good health (medical certificate within less than 12 months required)
  • Being certified Divemaster or an equivalent certificate
  • To have at least 60 certified dives with experience in night dive, deep dive and underwater navigation
  • Being a certified scuba diver for at least 6 months

The course covers:

  • “Academic” presentations:
    – orientation
    – learning, teaching and the PADI system
    – development of theoretical presentations
    – teaching of project AWARE and Peak Performance an Buoyancy
    – introductory PADI programs for introduction to scuba diving
    – teaching in protected environment
    – leading dives in natural environment
  • Development of knowledge
  • Practical applications (Theoretical presentations, presentations in protected environment, presentations in natural environment, rescue technique, etc…)

The price does not include:

  • Mandatory medical visit
  • Padi certification fees

What you will be able to do once certified:

  • Present the theoretical part of the trainings under the indirect supervision of a Padi Instructor
  • Evaluate the surface exercises in natural environment under the indirect supervision of a Padi Instructor
  • Teaching without supervision certain specialities
